Words from Dr. Mario Nucci

“Electroconvulsive Therapy has long been considered the gold standard for Treament-Resistant Depression. In a study published on May 24th, 2023, funded by the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute, evidence suggests that Ketamine Assisted Psychotherapy proves to be non-inferior in comparison to ECT for Treatment Resistant Depression. KAP is also shown not to carry the same memory-affecting side effects that come with ECT.”
